American guard Quinn Cook, a two-time NBA champion, said global political issues have had a direct impact on his ability to keep playing professionally overseas.
In an interview with Andscape, Cook said he has lost two basketball jobs internationally this year because of broader political circumstances around the world.
Cook has spent time in the NBA and has also pursued opportunities abroad, a common path for veteran players seeking continued roles and stability outside the league. This year, however, he said factors beyond basketball have disrupted those plans, costing him two separate positions.
