LeBron James added another milestone to his résumé Thursday night, becoming the oldest player in NBA history to post a triple-double.
James set the record in the Los Angeles Lakers’ win over the Dallas Mavericks, breaking the previous mark held by Hall of Famer Karl Malone.
A new entry in the record book
The achievement further underscores James’ longevity and continued all-around impact, as he delivered a triple-double in a game the Lakers closed out with a victory.
Malone had previously owned the record for the oldest player to record a triple-double, but James’ performance against Dallas moved him to the top of that list.
