LeBron James started at center for the short-handed 76ers on Sunday against the Pistons, taking on an unfamiliar role as Philadelphia dealt with limited frontcourt options.
James said he hopes the assignment is not one he has to handle often this season. His start at center reflected the 76ers' immediate roster shortage rather than a role he is looking to make permanent.
