Alabama has landed a major early piece for its 2027 recruiting class, securing a commitment from top-30 senior guard Chase Lumpkin.
Lumpkin, ranked No. 28 nationally, gives head coach Nate Oats one of the highest-rated guards in the class and provides the Crimson Tide with an immediate foundation as they begin building their next recruiting group.
A strong start for Alabama
The commitment marks an important opening move for Alabama’s 2027 class. Oats has continued to emphasize high-level guard play in his program, and Lumpkin’s pledge adds a nationally regarded backcourt prospect to the Crimson Tide’s future roster plans.
With Lumpkin now committed, Alabama has jump-started its recruiting efforts with a player considered among the top prospects in the country.
