Free-agent forward Trendon Watford has agreed to a one-year, $2.9 million deal with the New Orleans Pelicans.
The agreement brings Watford to New Orleans on a short-term contract as the Pelicans continue shaping their roster. Watford gives the team another option at forward and adds depth to the frontcourt rotation.
The one-year structure keeps the commitment limited while providing Watford an opportunity to compete for a role with the Pelicans during the upcoming season.
