Veteran guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is exercising his $21.6 million player option with the Memphis Grizzlies for the 2026-27 season.

The move keeps Caldwell-Pope under contract with Memphis for another year, maintaining a proven veteran presence in the Grizzlies' backcourt. Known throughout his career for his perimeter defense, floor spacing and championship experience, Caldwell-Pope gives Memphis continuity on the wing heading into the 2026-27 campaign.

Player options give players the ability to decide whether to remain under the terms of their existing contract for an additional season or enter free agency. By picking up the option, Caldwell-Pope will stay with the Grizzlies at the $21.6 million salary figure for that season.
