Iowa has secured men’s basketball coach Ben McCollum on a long-term contract extension through 2032, keeping him in place after one of the program’s most significant postseason runs in decades.
McCollum led the Hawkeyes to their first Elite Eight appearance in 39 years, a milestone that marked a major breakthrough for the program. The extension reflects Iowa’s commitment to maintaining continuity following that deep NCAA tournament run.
A long-term commitment after a historic season
The agreement gives McCollum a lengthy runway as Iowa looks to build on its recent success. Reaching the Elite Eight placed the Hawkeyes back on a national stage and delivered the program its deepest tournament advancement in nearly four decades.
With the extension now in place, McCollum is under contract through the 2032 season, providing stability at the top of the program after a landmark campaign.
