Oklahoma City made the loudest statement of the May 23 basketball slate, beating San Antonio 123-108 on the road in the night’s lone NBA matchup. The Thunder’s 15-point win fit the broader pattern of a schedule dominated by decisive away performances across multiple leagues.

In total, 10 games were played across all leagues, with results stretching from the NBA and WNBA to Spain’s ACB, Uruguay’s Liga Uruguaya and Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Prvenstvo BiH. The theme was separation: seven of the 10 games were decided by double digits, and several road teams won with clear control on the scoreboard.

NBA: Thunder Handle Spurs

Oklahoma City defeated San Antonio 123-108, producing the highest-profile result of the slate. The Thunder created enough offensive cushion to win comfortably away from home, while the Spurs were left chasing throughout a game that finished with a 15-point margin.

For Oklahoma City, the result was a clean road performance: high scoring, sustained pressure and a final score that reflected control. San Antonio reached 108 points but could not keep pace with the Thunder’s 123-point output.

WNBA: Storm, Lynx and Portland Win by Clear Margins

Seattle delivered the most restrictive defensive result of the WNBA slate, beating Connecticut 77-59. The Storm held the Sun under 60 points and won by 18, one of the day’s most lopsided outcomes.

Minnesota also took care of business on the road, defeating Chicago 85-75. The Lynx created a 10-point gap and left with a steady away win.

Portland produced the biggest WNBA scoring total of the day, beating Toronto Tempo 99-80. The 19-point margin gave Portland one of the strongest road results across the full schedule.

ACB: Unicaja Hits 101, Tenerife Reaches 109

Unicaja opened the ACB portion with a 101-83 home win over Breogan. The 18-point margin stood out, but the scoring did too: Unicaja was one of four teams on the slate to reach triple digits.

Tenerife matched that offensive force and exceeded it, beating Granada 109-96 on the road. Granada’s 96 points were not enough in one of the day’s highest-scoring games, as Tenerife became the top-scoring team on the full schedule.

Manresa added another road result in Spain, beating Gran Canaria 87-80. Unlike the bigger ACB margins, this one stayed within single digits, but Manresa still left with a valuable away win.

International Roundup: Penarol, Bosna and Igokea Win Away

In Liga Uruguaya, Penarol controlled Defensor 81-61, posting a 20-point road victory. It was one of the clearest defensive results of the day, with Defensor held to 61 points.

In Prvenstvo BiH, KK Bosna beat Sloboda 73-66 in a tighter road result. The seven-point margin made it one of the more competitive finishes on the schedule.

Igokea closed the Bosnian slate with a dominant 107-87 win at Siroki Brijeg. The 20-point margin matched Penarol’s victory as the largest of the day, and Igokea’s 107 points ranked among the slate’s top offensive outputs.
