Tennessee freshman Nate Ament has been ruled out for Tuesday’s game against South Carolina because of a leg injury.
Ament’s injury occurred during the Volunteers’ matchup with Alabama on Saturday, when he was knocked out of the game in Tennessee’s loss. The Volunteers entered that contest ranked No. 23.
His absence leaves Tennessee short-handed as it returns to action against South Carolina, with the program continuing its schedule following the setback to Alabama.
