A new LeBron James mural has been painted in Philadelphia’s Chinatown, adding a basketball-themed piece to one of the city’s most recognizable neighborhoods.
The mural, created by artist Chenlin Cai, is titled “The Legendary Partner for the City of Brotherly Love.” The work is inspired by a Dwyane Wade assist, connecting two of the most notable figures from one of the NBA’s defining partnerships.
James and Wade were longtime teammates and close collaborators during their NBA careers, with their on-court chemistry producing some of the league’s most memorable highlights. Cai’s mural brings that connection into a Philadelphia setting, blending basketball culture with local public art.
The piece also continues the tradition of basketball murals serving as public tributes to stars whose influence extends beyond the court. In this case, the artwork places James at the center of a Philadelphia installation while referencing Wade’s role in the inspiration behind the image.
