The New Orleans Pelicans have traded Jordan Hawkins, Micah Peavy, a future second-round draft pick and a future second-round pick swap to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for AJ Johnson and Taj Gibson.

The deal sends Hawkins, a young guard, to Memphis as part of a package that also includes Peavy and future draft compensation. The Grizzlies add multiple assets in the move, while the Pelicans bring in Johnson and Gibson.

Gibson, a veteran frontcourt player, joins New Orleans as part of the transaction. Johnson, a young guard, also heads to the Pelicans in the exchange.

The trade reshapes the back end of both rosters while involving future second-round draft capital. No additional terms of the deal were included.
