New Orleans Pelicans center DeAndre Jordan was named the NBA’s Teammate of the Year on Wednesday, earning the league honor in a tightly contested vote.
Jordan narrowly finished ahead of Portland Trail Blazers guard Jrue Holiday and Houston Rockets forward Jeff Green for the award, which recognizes players valued for their leadership, professionalism and support of teammates.
The recognition adds another individual honor for Jordan, a veteran presence in the Pelicans’ locker room. His selection reflects the respect he has earned from peers across the league.
