Nebraska and men’s basketball coach Fred Hoiberg have agreed to a three-year contract extension, the program announced after a landmark conference season.
Hoiberg’s new deal comes on the heels of a Big Ten campaign in which the Cornhuskers posted a school-record 15 wins in conference play, a notable benchmark in one of college basketball’s most competitive leagues.
Record-setting Big Ten season
Nebraska’s 15 Big Ten victories represented the best conference win total in program history, underscoring the team’s progress under Hoiberg’s direction and providing the backdrop for the extension.
The agreement ensures continuity for a Nebraska program coming off a season defined by its success within league play, with Hoiberg remaining in place after delivering a record-setting run against Big Ten competition.
