Michigan five-star freshman Brandon McCoy Jr. will miss the 2026-27 season because of a right ACL injury, the school announced.
McCoy arrived at Michigan as one of the program’s most highly regarded newcomers, but the injury will keep him off the court for the entirety of his freshman campaign.
The loss removes a prominent first-year player from Michigan’s roster before the season begins. The school did not announce any additional details beyond the nature of the injury and McCoy’s status for the season.
