Dallas Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg has been diagnosed with a left midfoot sprain and will be sidelined through All-Star Weekend, the team announced Wednesday.
The timetable rules Flagg out for Dallas’ upcoming game against the Los Angeles Lakers and also keeps him from participating in the Rising Stars event during All-Star Weekend.
Flagg’s absence removes a key young piece from the Mavericks’ rotation in the short term as the team navigates its schedule leading into the league’s midseason break.
