LSU added a significant piece to its 2027 recruiting class with a commitment from five-star guard King Gibson.
Gibson, the No. 13-ranked prospect in the 2027 class, chose the Tigers over Arkansas, Louisville and Providence. His commitment gives LSU an early high-profile addition in the cycle and marks a notable recruiting win for the program.
A Key Early Addition for LSU
As a five-star guard, Gibson is one of the top-rated players in his class. Landing a prospect of his standing provides LSU with a strong foundation as the Tigers continue building their 2027 class.
The decision also gives LSU a recruiting victory over multiple major programs, including SEC rival Arkansas, as well as Louisville and Providence.
