Nasir Whitlock scored 18 points and second-seeded Lehigh pulled away for a 74-60 win over No. 4 seed Boston University on Wednesday night to capture the Patriot League tournament championship.
The title gives Lehigh an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, marking the program’s first appearance in the national tournament since 2012.

Lehigh’s win over Boston University sealed the conference tournament crown and capped its postseason run with a decisive victory in the final. Whitlock led the way offensively, helping the Mountain Hawks build separation and close out the game.
Boston University, the fourth seed, saw its tournament run end in the championship game as Lehigh controlled the matchup down the stretch.
