The road teams owned the headline games on May 2.

The Los Angeles Lakers delivered the most lopsided result of the seven-game slate, beating the Houston Rockets 98-78. The Philadelphia 76ers also struck away from home, taking down the Boston Celtics 109-100, while MoraBanc Andorra produced the tightest finish of the day with a 90-89 win at Tenerife in ACB play.

Across seven games spanning the NBA, NBA W, ACB and Prvenstvo BiH, the slate balanced blowouts, controlled home wins and late-game pressure. Three games were decided by three points or fewer, including Andorra’s one-point result and Jahorina’s 76-73 win over Sloboda.

NBA: Lakers control Rockets, 76ers beat Celtics

The Lakers’ 98-78 win in Houston stood out immediately because of the margin. In a matchup between two NBA teams with postseason-level stakes implied by the calendar, Los Angeles created separation and held the Rockets to the lowest total of the listed NBA games.

Philadelphia’s 109-100 victory in Boston carried a different shape: less dominant by margin, but still a clean road result against a marquee opponent. The 76ers reached the highest NBA total of the night, and the nine-point win gave them one of the slate’s more notable away victories.

ACB: Andorra edges Tenerife, Girona and Burgos hold serve

The ACB delivered the day’s best finish. MoraBanc Andorra beat Tenerife 90-89, a one-point road win that separated itself from the rest of the Spanish league schedule. Tenerife scored enough to win on most nights, but Andorra matched that output and found the final edge.

Basquet Girona handled Basket Zaragoza 90-81, using a 90-point night to secure a nine-point home win. San Pablo Burgos followed a similar script with a 99-91 victory over Forca Lleida, posting the highest total among all teams in the ACB games listed.

Burgos’ 99 points were also the second-highest team total across the full seven-game slate, trailing only Philadelphia’s 109 and Boston’s 100 among the listed results.

NBA W: Minnesota beats Toronto

In NBA W action, the Minnesota Lynx beat the Toronto Tempo 73-66. The seven-point home win came in the lowest-scoring game of the day by combined total, with Minnesota doing enough to create separation while keeping Toronto in the mid-60s.

Prvenstvo BiH: Jahorina survives Sloboda

Jahorina held off Sloboda 76-73 in Prvenstvo BiH play, one of the slate’s three tightest games. The three-point margin placed it alongside Andorra’s one-point win and Burgos’ eight-point ACB victory as part of a competitive European schedule.
