Jonathan Kuminga has agreed to a two-year, $12.4 million deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves, adding another frontcourt option to Minnesota’s roster.
The contract includes a player option, giving Kuminga flexibility beyond the first season of the agreement. As part of Minnesota’s pitch, the team identified Kuminga as a candidate to fill its vacant starting power forward spot.
Kuminga’s arrival gives the Timberwolves an athletic forward as they address a key opening in the starting lineup. The move also provides Minnesota with another versatile piece in the frontcourt as the team shapes its rotation for the upcoming season.
