Nikola Jokic broke out of a prolonged slump with a triple-double, leading the Denver Nuggets to a 125-113 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5 of their playoff series Monday night.

Facing elimination, Denver responded with one of its most complete offensive performances of the series. Jokic was at the center of it, controlling the game with his scoring, rebounding and playmaking as the Nuggets extended their season.

Spencer Jones also provided a key lift for Denver, giving the Nuggets an important spark in a physical contest that featured plenty of edge from both teams.

The Timberwolves entered the game dealing with injuries, and Denver took advantage to keep pressure on Minnesota throughout the night. The victory forced a Game 6 and gave the Nuggets another chance to continue their playoff push.
