Houston continued to reshape its roster through the transfer portal Saturday, landing commitments from LSU guard Dedan Thomas Jr. and Kent State forward Delrecco Gillespie.
The Cougars, led by head coach Kelvin Sampson, added two players who were rated among the top-60 transfers, strengthening their incoming group with experience from two different programs.
Two portal commitments
Thomas arrives from LSU, giving Houston a backcourt addition from the SEC. Gillespie transfers in from Kent State, bringing frontcourt depth from the Mid-American Conference.
The commitments represent a notable portal haul for Houston in a single day, as the Cougars secured two highly regarded transfers to join the program.
