Friday Roundup: Spurs Roll Thunder, ACB Delivers Chaos, Wings Knock Off Aces

A 15-game slate across the NBA, WNBA and ACB produced a mix of blowouts, upsets and one-possession finishes. San Antonio delivered the night’s biggest NBA statement, while Manresa stunned Real Madrid and Dallas handled Las Vegas in a high-profile WNBA result.

Friday’s global basketball slate moved fast and hit hard: 15 games, multiple late-game finishes, and enough scoring swings to reshape the night across three leagues.

The San Antonio Spurs authored the cleanest headline in the NBA window, beating the Oklahoma City Thunder 118-91. In the WNBA, the Dallas Wings took down the Las Vegas Aces 95-87, while the Golden State Valkyries edged the Indiana Fever 90-88 in one of the night’s tightest results. In Spain, the ACB delivered the deepest card, led by Manresa’s 94-87 win over Real Madrid and Barcelona’s 100-95 road escape at MoraBanc Andorra.

NBA: Spurs Make the Loudest Statement

San Antonio’s 118-91 win over Oklahoma City stood out not just because of the margin, but because of how sharply it separated the two teams on the scoreboard. The Spurs controlled the game decisively, holding the Thunder to 91 points while producing one of the most emphatic results of the night.

On a slate loaded with close finishes elsewhere, this was the outlier: a 27-point NBA result with no ambiguity. San Antonio’s ability to create that gap against Oklahoma City made it the defining domestic men’s result of the evening.

WNBA: Wings Beat Aces, Valkyries Survive Fever

Dallas opened the WNBA portion of the night with a strong 95-87 win over Las Vegas. The Wings reached 95 points and created enough separation to close out an Aces team that remains one of the league’s most closely watched opponents.

Golden State and Indiana produced the narrowest WNBA finish of the slate, with the Valkyries beating the Fever 90-88. The two-point margin captured the game’s pressure profile: one possession, limited room for error, and a finish that rewarded Golden State’s late execution.

Los Angeles also picked up a road win, beating Washington 92-87. New York held off Phoenix 75-68 in a lower-scoring contest, while Minnesota delivered the most lopsided WNBA result of the night with a 79-58 win at Chicago.

ACB: Manresa Stuns Real Madrid, Barcelona Escapes

The ACB carried the largest share of Friday’s schedule and delivered the most volatility. Manresa’s 94-87 win over Real Madrid was the headline result, a seven-point home victory over one of Europe’s marquee clubs.

Barcelona avoided a similar road slip, beating MoraBanc Andorra 100-95. The scoreline told the story of a demanding road assignment: high scoring, tight margin, and enough pressure to force Barcelona to close the game with precision.

Elsewhere, Baskonia beat Unicaja 92-89 in a three-point finish, while Breogan and Basket Zaragoza produced one of the night’s tightest games, with Zaragoza winning 95-94 on the road. Basquet Girona beat Joventut Badalona 82-77, and Tenerife fell at home to Bilbao 87-82.

ACB Offense Finds Another Gear

Several ACB results pushed well beyond the 90-point mark. San Pablo Burgos outlasted Granada 110-105 in the highest combined-scoring game of the slate, while Murcia overwhelmed Forca Lleida 116-95. Valencia also delivered a forceful performance, beating Gran Canaria 105-81.

Those results gave the ACB card a distinct rhythm: elite names tested, home teams landing major blows, and multiple games decided late despite elevated scoring environments.
