The Lakers produced a strong early statement with a 127-105 win over the Warriors, showing encouraging results from a roster rebuilt around Luka Doncic.
Doncic has been installed as the heir to LeBron James in Los Angeles, and the team’s performance against Golden State reflected the promise of its new structure.
The blowout victory gave the Lakers a clear example of how their retooled roster can function with Doncic at the center of the plan.
