Free agent guard Ayo Dosunmu intends to sign a five-year, $112 million contract to return to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The agreement includes a player option in the fifth season, giving Dosunmu flexibility at the back end of the deal. The 26-year-old guard was originally selected in the second round out of Illinois.
Dosunmu’s return keeps him in Minnesota as the Timberwolves continue shaping their roster for the seasons ahead. The contract represents a significant commitment to a backcourt piece entering his prime years.
