Arizona State will not renew the contract of men’s basketball coach Bobby Hurley, the school announced Wednesday.
The move came hours after the Sun Devils were eliminated from the Big 12 tournament, falling in a blowout loss to Iowa State.
End of an 11-year run
Hurley’s departure closes an 11-season tenure leading the Arizona State program. The announcement was made the same day as the team’s conference tournament exit, marking an abrupt end to the Sun Devils’ postseason run.
Arizona State did not renew Hurley’s contract, formally ending his time on the sideline in Tempe.
