Real Madrid and Murcia turned the ACB spotlight into a full-speed scoring track meet Sunday, combining for 254 points in the highest-scoring game on a 19-game slate across multiple leagues. Madrid’s 131-123 home win stood out not only for the total, but for the pressure profile: Murcia scored enough to win on most nights, yet still could not keep pace.
The day stretched from Spain to Uruguay, Britain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, NBA W action and the NBA, with several results defined by offensive separation and late-game control. Baskonia produced the most lopsided ACB result, Barcelona handled Gran Canaria comfortably, and the NBA slate saw Detroit and Cleveland win by double digits.
ACB: Madrid wins the shootout, Baskonia and Barcelona cruise
The ACB delivered the day’s sharpest contrast: one game decided by pure offensive volume, others by control and defensive separation.
Real Madrid beat Murcia 131-123 in the highest-scoring matchup of the day. The final margin was only eight, but the scoreline reflected a game played at a pace and shot-making level that left little room for empty possessions. Murcia’s 123 points would have been the top winning total in almost any other game on the schedule; against Madrid, it became a losing number.
Baskonia authored the ACB’s cleanest blowout, beating Breogan 112-84. The 28-point margin was the largest in Spain on the day and signaled a performance built on sustained pressure rather than a single late surge.
Barcelona added another emphatic result, defeating Gran Canaria 91-69. The 22-point win was one of the more complete scoreline statements of the slate, with Barcelona holding Gran Canaria below the 70-point mark while creating comfortable separation.
Manresa edged Valencia 104-102 in one of the day’s tightest games. The two-point margin made it the ACB’s closest finish, with Manresa protecting home court in a game where both teams reached triple digits.
Bilbao also held at home, beating Granada 88-83. Unlike the Madrid-Murcia and Manresa-Valencia games, this one stayed in a more contained scoring band, with Bilbao doing just enough to manage the final possessions.
NBA: Pistons and Cavaliers win with separation
The NBA portion of the slate featured two double-digit home wins.
Detroit beat Orlando 116-94, a 22-point result that matched Barcelona’s margin over Gran Canaria and ranked among the day’s most decisive outcomes. The Pistons created clear separation and kept the Magic below the century mark.
Cleveland handled Toronto 114-102, securing a 12-point win. The Cavaliers’ offense reached 114 while holding the Raptors to 102, enough for a controlled home result rather than a possession-by-possession finish.
NBA W: Road teams make noise, Dallas flips the script
NBA W action brought four games and three road wins, with Dallas providing the outlier home statement.
Dallas Wings W defeated Las Vegas Aces W 101-84, the only home win in the NBA W set and the highest-scoring performance in that group. The 17-point margin made it a clear result rather than a late escape.
Washington Mystics W won 83-72 at Atlanta Dream W, while New York Liberty W beat Connecticut Sun W 79-67 on the road. Both road winners controlled the scoreboard enough to avoid one-possession volatility.
Los Angeles Sparks W also won away from home, beating Portland W 85-75. The Sparks joined Washington and New York in turning road games into double-digit victories.
SLB: Manchester and Leicester win away; London controls Newcastle
The SLB schedule produced four games, with away wins for Manchester Basketball and Leicester Riders and strong home responses from Cheshire Phoenix and London Lions.
Manchester Basketball beat Bristol Flyers 90-85 on the road, one of the tighter results of the day. Leicester Riders also won away, defeating Sheffield Sharks 97-87.
Cheshire Phoenix held off Surrey 89ers 100-95 in a five-point home win, reaching triple digits in one of the SLB’s most competitive games.
London Lions delivered the league’s most decisive result of the day, beating Newcastle Eagles 88-69. The 19-point margin stood out in an SLB slate otherwise defined by tighter finishes and road execution.
Liga Uruguaya: Nacional dominates, Aguada wins away
Liga Uruguaya featured three games, with Nacional producing the strongest result. Nacional beat Defensor 97-73, a 24-point margin that ranked among the biggest wins of the full Sunday schedule.
Aguada won 94-84 at Malvin, taking a double-digit road result. Penarol beat Hebraica y Macabi 74-62, using a lower-scoring game script to create a 12-point home win.
Prvenstvo BiH: Siroki Brijeg takes road result
In Prvenstvo BiH action, Siroki Brijeg beat Borac Banja Luka 82-76 on the road. The six-point margin placed it among the more competitive games of the day, with Siroki Brijeg doing enough away from home to close out the result.
