Patrick Ewing has agreed to become an assistant coach for the Washington Wizards, joining the staff of head coach Brian Keefe.
Ewing, a Georgetown icon and New York Knicks legend, brings a prominent basketball résumé to Washington’s bench. His addition gives the Wizards another experienced voice as Keefe continues shaping his coaching staff.
The move also connects Ewing with a franchise located in the same city where he became a college basketball star at Georgetown. He remains one of the most recognizable figures associated with both the Hoyas and the Knicks.
