The New York Liberty produced the most lopsided win of the day, beating Toronto Tempo W 106-69. Los Angeles Sparks W also controlled their matchup, defeating Portland W 105-84, while Minnesota Lynx W went on the road and outscored Connecticut Sun W 101-89.
In the Supercopa ACB, Joventut Badalona beat Barcelona 101-87, pairing triple-digit offense with a 14-point margin in one of the day’s most notable results.
NBA W: Liberty Set the Standard
New York’s 106-69 win at Toronto was the cleanest statement on the board. The Liberty not only reached the highest total of the NBA W slate, they did it while holding Toronto under 70, creating a 37-point gap that stood as the largest margin of the day.
Los Angeles followed with another high-output performance, beating Portland 105-84. The Sparks’ 21-point win gave the NBA W slate a second team above 100 points and reinforced a clear theme: the teams that broke the century mark did not leave room for late-game variance.
Minnesota also hit triple digits, defeating Connecticut 101-89 on the road. The Lynx paired scoring volume with enough control to keep the Sun at distance, finishing with a 12-point win in one of the day’s higher-scoring matchups.
Washington added another road result, beating Indiana 93-77. The Mystics’ 16-point margin fit the broader pattern of the NBA W slate, where road teams repeatedly imposed themselves and created decisive separation.
Golden State Valkyries W delivered the lowest-scoring win of the NBA W games, beating Seattle Storm W 70-57. In a slate defined elsewhere by offensive production, that result stood out for its defensive shape, with Seattle held to the lowest total among the listed NBA W teams.
SLB: Tight Margins Define the British Slate
The SLB games were more compact. Caledonia Gladiators edged Liverpool 78-73, London Lions beat Newcastle Eagles 84-76, and Bristol Flyers went on the road to defeat Cheshire Phoenix 101-92.
Bristol’s win at Cheshire was the standout offensive result in the league, with the Flyers becoming the only SLB team on the day to reach 100. The 101-92 scoreline also made it the highest-scoring SLB matchup on the schedule.
Caledonia’s five-point win over Liverpool was the tightest finish of the day across all leagues. London’s 84-76 victory over Newcastle offered a little more cushion, but the SLB slate overall leaned competitive, especially compared with the wider margins seen in the NBA W results.
Supercopa ACB: Joventut Beat Barcelona
Joventut Badalona’s 101-87 win over Barcelona was the marquee European result of the day. The 14-point margin and 101-point output gave Joventut one of Sunday’s strongest offensive performances across all competitions.
For Barcelona, the issue was not scoring enough to stay respectable; it was failing to contain Joventut’s pace and efficiency on the scoreboard. In a single-game Supercopa ACB setting, that kind of defensive slippage proved decisive.
