The Oct. 13 Euroleague slate featured seven games, with road teams winning four times and five teams reaching at least 90 points. Fenerbahce handled Zalgiris Kaunas 99-80, Barcelona edged Maccabi Tel Aviv 90-87, and Valencia pushed Olympiacos into the highest-scoring game of the night before falling 102-97.
The results also highlighted a sharp split in game environments. Four games were decided by five points or fewer, while Fenerbahce, Dubai and Panathinaikos won by margins of at least 14 points.
Fenerbahce delivers the night’s largest offensive total at home
Fenerbahce beat Zalgiris Kaunas 99-80 in Istanbul, producing the largest margin of the seven-game Euroleague schedule. The 19-point result was built on a 99-point output, the second-highest team total of the night behind Olympiacos.
Zalgiris Kaunas reached 80 points, but Fenerbahce’s scoring level created separation that no other home team matched on the night. Among the three home winners, Fenerbahce had the most comfortable finish, ahead of Barcelona’s three-point win over Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Olympiacos survives Valencia in the highest-scoring game
Olympiacos defeated Valencia 102-97 in the only game in which both teams reached at least 97 points. The 199 combined points marked the highest total of the night, with Olympiacos becoming the only team to cross 100.
Valencia scored more points than five winning teams on the slate but still lost at home. That result reflected the thin margin in a game where offensive production was not enough to control the outcome.
Real Madrid and Dubai win away with 90-point performances
Real Madrid beat Olimpia Milano 98-89, giving the road side one of the night’s most efficient-looking scorelines by result alone. Real Madrid’s 98 points were the third-highest total of the slate, behind Olympiacos and Fenerbahce.
Dubai also won away, defeating Baskonia 93-79. The 14-point margin stood as the second-largest road win of the night, trailing Panathinaikos’ 17-point victory at Partizan Mozzart Bet.
Panathinaikos controls the lowest-scoring game
Panathinaikos beat Partizan Mozzart Bet 72-55 in the lowest-scoring matchup of the slate. Partizan Mozzart Bet’s 55 points were the fewest by any team on Oct. 13, and Panathinaikos won despite posting the lowest point total among the seven winners.
The 127 combined points created a very different profile from the Valencia-Olympiacos game. Panathinaikos did not need a high-scoring night to create a decisive margin, holding Partizan Mozzart Bet well below every other home team on the schedule.
Barcelona and Crvena zvezda navigate late-game margins
Barcelona defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv 90-87 in one of the tightest games of the night. Maccabi Tel Aviv reached 87 points away from home, but Barcelona’s 90-point output was enough to secure one of the three home wins.
Crvena zvezda earned an 84-82 road win over Lyon-Villeurbanne in the closest final score on the slate. The two-point margin made it the narrowest result of the night and added to a strong road-team showing across the Euroleague schedule.
