November 1 produced a 14-game slate across ACB, NBA, NBA W and NCAA competition, with six ACB games, six NBA games, one NBA W matchup and one NCAA game. The night balanced close-possession outcomes with several decisive road performances, particularly in the ACB and NBA.

ACB: Barcelona escapes, Valencia and Breogan win big

Barcelona beat Unicaja 92-89 in the highest-leverage ACB finish of the night. The three-point margin separated two teams that both reached 89 points, making it the closest ACB game on the schedule alongside Bilbao’s 81-78 win at Joventut Badalona.

Bilbao’s 81-78 road win at Joventut Badalona stood out for its defensive edge. In a league slate that included four teams scoring at least 100 points, Bilbao won while holding Joventut Badalona below 80.

Valencia delivered the most lopsided ACB result, beating MoraBanc Andorra 111-79 on the road. The 32-point margin was the largest of the six ACB games and came with Valencia posting the highest ACB total of the day.

Breogan also crossed the 100-point mark, defeating Obradoiro CAB 110-90 away from home. Baskonia added another high-end scoring performance with a 106-83 home win over Manresa, controlling the game by 23 points.

Real Madrid handled San Pablo Burgos 90-79, adding an 11-point home win to a slate defined by road scoring bursts. Four of the six ACB winners scored at least 90 points, while Valencia, Breogan and Baskonia all reached 106 or more.

NBA: Cleveland, Memphis and Houston create separation

Cleveland Cavaliers produced the NBA’s most emphatic road result, beating Milwaukee Bucks 136-111. Cleveland’s 136 points matched Memphis Grizzlies for the highest NBA total of the night and came in a 25-point win away from home.

Memphis Grizzlies beat Sacramento Kings 136-105, the largest NBA margin on the schedule at 31 points. Memphis paired the night’s joint-highest NBA scoring output with the only NBA win by more than 30 points.

Houston Rockets defeated Oklahoma City Thunder 119-98, creating a 21-point margin in a game where Houston held Oklahoma City below 100. Among the six NBA games, Houston joined Brooklyn Nets as the only winners to keep an opponent under 100.

San Antonio Spurs beat Minnesota Timberwolves 121-111 at home, giving the NBA slate another game in which both teams reached at least 111 points. Orlando Magic fell 108-97 to Boston Celtics, with Boston winning by 11 on the road.

Brooklyn Nets won the lowest-scoring NBA game of the night, beating Indiana Pacers 98-90. The 188 combined points made it the only NBA matchup on the slate in which neither team reached 100.

NBA W and NCAA: Narrow margins decide the late edges

Golden State Valkyries W beat Atlanta Dream W 68-63 in the lone NBA W matchup. The five-point margin made it one of the tighter results across the full slate, and Golden State Valkyries W won despite neither team reaching 70.

Villanova edged Notre Dame 74-72 in the NCAA game, the closest result of the day across all leagues. The two-point finish joined Barcelona’s three-point win and Bilbao’s three-point win as the slate’s primary late-game results.

Roundup view: Road teams shape the night

Road teams won eight of the 14 games, including four of six in the ACB and four of six in the NBA. Bilbao, Breogan, Valencia, Barcelona, Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets and Notre Dame’s opponent Villanova all won away from home.

The scoring profile split sharply between leagues and matchups. The NBA featured four winners at 108 points or higher, while the ACB had three winners at 106 or higher. At the other end, Golden State Valkyries W won with 68 points, and Villanova won by two in a 74-72 NCAA finish.
