Las Vegas left no room for interpretation on July 11.

In the most emphatic result of the four-game WNBA slate, the Aces beat the Phoenix Mercury 106-58, a 48-point margin that stood well apart from the rest of the night’s action. Los Angeles also cleared the 100-point mark in a 102-87 win over Chicago, Portland went on the road to beat Atlanta 102-92, and Minnesota held off New York 90-85 in the closest game of the evening.

Aces dominate Mercury in one-sided finish

Las Vegas produced the night’s defining performance, beating Phoenix 106-58 at home. The Aces’ 106 points were the highest total on the slate, and their defensive hold of the Mercury to 58 points created the largest scoring gap of any game played.

The result was decisive from a scoreboard standpoint: Las Vegas paired elite scoring output with the night’s lowest points allowed. In a slate that included multiple teams reaching 100, the Aces separated themselves not just by scoring, but by the scale of the control they imposed.

Sparks hit 102 in win over Sky

Los Angeles handled Chicago 102-87, giving the Sparks one of the night’s two 100-point victories. The 15-point margin reflected a comfortable home result, with Los Angeles sustaining enough offense to keep Chicago from turning the game into a late-possession contest.

For the Sky, 87 points would have been enough to stay competitive in many settings. On this night, it was not enough to match the Sparks’ pace or offensive ceiling.

Lynx edge Liberty in tightest game of the slate

Minnesota beat New York 90-85 in the night’s most competitive final score. The five-point margin was the smallest across the four games, making it the lone result decided by fewer than 10 points.

Against a Liberty team that reached 85, the Lynx had enough late-game separation to protect home court. In a slate defined mostly by double-digit outcomes, Minnesota-New York delivered the clearest example of a game decided in the margins.

Portland wins on the road in Atlanta

Portland earned a 102-92 road win over Atlanta, matching Los Angeles with a 102-point output. The result gave the visitors a 10-point victory and made Portland one of three teams on the night to score at least 100.

Atlanta reached 92, the highest total by any losing team on the slate, but Portland’s offensive production traveled. In a game where both teams pushed into the 90s, the visitors had the stronger finishing number.
